Balbriggan E.T.N.S. Board of Management
The Board of Management at Balbriggan ETNS plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and strategic direction of our school. The board is composed of dedicated volunteers, including patron nominees, parent representatives, teacher nominee, and community nominees and our school principal. The Board works collaboratively to uphold the values and ethos of Educate Together. Their responsibilities include overseeing school policies, managing resources, and supporting the overall development of our school community. We deeply appreciate their commitment to fostering an inclusive and high-quality learning environment for all students.
The board of management is dedicated to preparing our students for the future, ensuring that they are provided with an education that equips them with the skills, confidence, and values they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.
The board adopts a child centred approach to its work.
The board must also have regard to the efficient use of resources (particularly the grants provided by the State), the public interest in the affairs of the school and accountability to students, parents and the community. The principal is responsible for the day-to-day management of the school, including guidance and direction of the teachers and other staff of the school and keeps the board informed.
The board of management is appointed for a period of four years and meets at regular intervals throughout the year.
The current board of management began their term in December 2023.
